About Me

My Photo
ilona
Ilona Oltuski was born in Germany, where she studied art history and published her doctorate about the Bezalel art movement. She discovered her penchant for writing again much later, through another interest of hers, the piano. Having taken lessons at the Hoch’sche Conservatory in Frankfurt she continued studying piano when she moved to New York, where she now lives with her husband and kids. Through conversations with a variety of pianists from amateurs to professional performers, Ilona – a passionate amateur herself – made her reentry into the writing world by sharing her experiences, quest, and lust for piano playing with the public.
